So, this Friday I had my first summer competition in Žiri. But, this is what happened first…

The day has started quite early. Together with a friend Matevž Šparovec I went on the Grande Giro di Italia to cheer for my former colleague and a friend with whom I won a gold medal in YWSC Primož Roglič. I can only say: ”wow, what a race, what an experience and what a crowd!” The climb on Matajur was insane and an atmosphere was not Italian at all, it was in a spirit of Slovenia.  After the race I went on my competition. Must I confess that I was quite glad that my ‘race’ was on a jumping hill instead of on a bike 🙂

My jumps were good and so was the final result. 5th place this early in the season makes me happy and fills me with faith that it can only go up from here. Congrats to Rok Justin for victory and big thanks to all the local people for preparing such a nice competition. And now? Lets train some more and make plans for new victories.
